Hotel at Ernestgruen Castle

Our Hotel at Ernestgruen Castle is situated in the midst of the „Oberpfälzer Wald“, at the legendary Centre of Europe.

You will gain new vitality at our still natural landscape and in the silence of the romantical forests, far away from the daily turbulance. Excursions will take you over fields and stones, along rivers and ponds passing castles and cloisters (f.e. Waldsassen).

The villages along the old „China- and Glass-Street“ will invite you to make interesting tours.

If you want to do some sports you will find the golf-course „Stiftland“ next to the hotel. Biking and hiking between the smooth hills are also a nice possibility to be sporty.

The nearby Sibyllenbad or the Czech Republic are offering themselves to be visited.

Using the frontier at Hundsbach (12km) you can easily reach the towns of Marienbad, Franzensbad and Karlsbad, famous Bohemian spas, as well as the town of Eger or the cloister at Tepla.
